Paris, terrace for two with a view

Située entre Saint-Sulpice et Odéon, cette terrasse plein ciel est au dernier étage. Il n'est pas nécessaire de forcer son imagination pour y projeter des apéritifs en bonne compagnie à l'heure du coucher de soleil, des petits-déjeuner dans la fraicheur matinale de l'été et des après-midi à lézarder. J'ai découvert ce perchoir de rêve, il y a quelques jours, à l'occasion d'une visite de l'hôtel du Relais Saint Germain. Cette terrasse fait partie de la suite mansardée Marguerite de Navarre.

Located between Saint-Sulpice and Odeon, this terrace with a view (what a view...!) is under the sky. Seeing this charming place, it's so easy to project some happy hours in good company at sunset time, some breakfasts in the morning fresh air at summer and afternoons to laze about. I discovered this ideal "perch", a few days ago when I was visiting the hotel of Relais Saint-Germain. This terrace is part of  the attic suite Marguerite de Navarre.

J'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à contempler ce coin de la salle. Notamment pour l'harmonie contrastée des couleurs et des matières. Et même pour ce porte-manteau en fer-forgé alors que d'habitude, c'est pas trop mon truc. Cerise sur le gâteau, le chapeau n'était pas accroché là pour "faire déco" mais appartenait bel et bien à un client du restaurant.

I had great pleasure to gaze out this corner of the dining room. For the harmony of matters and colors. Even for the wrought iron stands unless usually I don't like this type so much. I liked the fact that the hat was not here to "play deco" but did really belong to some guest present in the restaurant.
