Paris, iconic living room

For those who love 50's style. Design by Vincent Bastie for the Platine hotel. In this false fireplace behind the pane, there are so many flames which dance all day to warm up Marilyn's heart. You can see other pictures of this place here. These last weeks I was more busy to visit interiors (I'm searching for an appartment) instead of shooting them. Moreover, I've made more fashion and accessories pictures which would not have their place here as I show only my interior pictures on this blog. Then I created a new blog to publish some of these other photos.  Be my guest and enjoy the visit : www.stylosophie.fr

Paris, in bed with Marilyn ("Poo poo pee doo", the sequel)

Paris, poo poo pee doo

Paris, fancy trendy fiftie's

On me souffle par dessus mon épaule : "Très Mad Men, ce salon"... À chacun ses références, tant qu'on s'y retrouve.. Design de Vincent Bastié.
When we see this picture, it's not evident to guess where I was when I took it. This is the living room of the Platine hôtel which has recently opened and which has been covered by many magazines. But the press (it's understandable) usually rather shows pictures which are more representative of this place where each room has a giant photo of Marylin Monroe by way of bedhead and a specific decoration as tribute to her world. The icon is present at every storey and even in the elevator where a TV screen shows extracts of her films. Of course I was glad to photograph its polished bedrooms and It will be a pleasure to show some of them in a next post. Well, aaaaall this to tell you that the place which really made me stop, there, was this living room located on the main floor, precisely this angle. As subtle as soft, this room is a kind of breath and I like it. Someone looks over my shoulder and suggests me : "Very Mad Men this living room!"... Every one has his own reference, the important thing is to enjoy the place.. Design by Vincent Bastié.
