Capri, this blog is on holiday (swimming pool interior)

       "Buongiorno da Capri", ce blog est vraiment en vacance car je n'ai pas pris mon appareil photo contrairement aux autres fois sinon je passe mon temps à écumer les hôtels, palaces et autres spots design à immortaliser. Vous pouvez d'ailleurs revoir tous les intérieurs capriotes que j'ai précédemment photographiés en cliquant sur ce lien. Faute d'appareil photo, je n'ai quand même pas pu m'empêcher de faire celles-ci avec un iPhone. Que pensez-vous de cette magnifique mosaïque dans les tons turquoise ? J'en ai vu des intérieurs de piscines à Capri (vous en verrez quelques unes en cliquant sur le lien précité) mais pour l'instant cette mosaïque est vraiment la plus belle et la plus raffinée que j'ai pu observer (hôtel Canasta). Elle donne à l'eau des tonalités magnifiques. À très vite sur ces pages et sur stylosophie.fr.  

         "Buongiorno da Capri", this blog is really in holiday as I didn't take my camera this year to be sure I will not spend my time photographing hotels, palaces and other designed places... As I did it before, you can see again all Capri's interiors I've been pictured in the past on this link. This summer, I've taken only these two pictures with an iPhone as I couldn't help doing it. What do you think of this magnificent swimming pool mosaic ? It's the finest one I've ever seen in Capri so far (and if you click on the link above, you'll see that I've already seen some of them).     Je reviens toujours à la villa San Michele. J'y trouve à chaque fois de nouveaux recoins, des perspectives inédites, une poésie supplémentaire. 

   I always come back to villa San Michele. Each time there I find new corners, unreleased perspectives, an additional poetry.

Capri, infinity sea balcony

                Et hop, un balcon du "Quisi", son jus d'abricot, une table, sa chaise. Du bleu à perte de vue. Je sais que je me répète si je vous dis qu'à Capri, la mer semble toujours plus haute que l'horizon. Ici, on devine également sous le balcon la chartreuse de San Giacomo. Pour voir d'autres intérieurs capriotes incluant quelques terrasses, c'est par là. Oups, je n'ai publié qu'une seule fois la semaine dernière... Voilà je m'y remets. Prochain post mercredi.

                 Here is a "Quisi" balcony, its apricot juice, a table, its chair. And blue everywhere... I tell you again that in Capri from each place of the island, the sea looks always above the horizon. Moreover, from this balcony you can have a look on the charterhouse di San Giacomo as we can make it out on this image. You can sea other Caprese interiors and their terraces here. Ooops, I published just once last week... But here I'm back. Next post this wednesday.

Capri, a villa for Chanel (part2) : interior living rooms

       Ambiances roses et bleues dotées d'une série de dégradés et de transitions très subtiles... Comme je vous l'annonçais dans le post précédent, après les terrasses et aménagements extérieurs, voici l'intérieur de la maison capriote spécialement aménagée par Chanel pour son showroom éphémère  (ouvert de juin à fin septembre 2012).         Rosy and blue atmospheres with some very subtle shadings and transitions to go from one to the other... As I told you in the previous post, after the terrasses and garden sets, here is the interior of the caprese house which was converted by Chanel for its "showroom éphémère" (open from June to September 2012). Capri, a villa for Chanel (part 1) : terraces, living outside...

            De juin à fin septembre 2012, Chanel a installé son showroom éphémère dans une villa capriote en recréant des espaces à vivre très chic tout en restant fidèle au style de Capri. Voici les terraces et  les installations extérieures. Je consacre un prochain post à son aménagement intérieur que vous pouvez voir en cliquant ici.

           From June to the end of september 2012, Chanel has turned its "showroom éphémère" into a typical Caprese villa recreating some very chic living rooms in the mood of Capri style. Here are the terraces and outdoor living rooms. I show you the interior in the next post. (you can click here to see it). Enjoy the visit.

        Comme chaque année, je me fends d'une ou deux photos de la piscine du Capri Palace d'Anacapri. Ici détail des mosaïques et de l'escalier. On peut voir une large vue d'ensemble du bassin en cliquant ici.

     Un point de vue depuis la villa San Michele et sa célèbre sphinge. Sur la ligne d'horizon, on distingue le Vésuve.

Capri, sweet delicate details

         Une photo toute simple prise aux alentours d'une charmante coiffeuse aperçue dans une suite du Quisisana, le plus ancien palace de Capri, le plus mythique et le plus fréquenté. Entre autres innombrables célébrités, les écrivains Oscar Wilde, Jean-Paul Sartre et Ernest Hemingway y ont séjourné. Typiques de cette région, les sols carrelés à motifs sont en général dans les tons de bleu. Beaucoup plus rare, celui de cette pièce est orange : original et lumineux, l'effet bonne mine et bonne humeur est immédiat. Il y a déjà eu et il y aura encore d'autres posts concernant le "Quisi".         Here is a simple picture taken around a charming dressing-table. I saw this corner in a junior suite at the famous and busy Grand hotel Quisisana which is the most ancient and mythic palace at Capri. As many other celebrities, Oscar Wilde, Jean-Paul Sartre and Ernest Hemingway did sojourn there. Let's go back to the picture. Typical from this region, the tiled floors are usually made in blue shades. More rare, the one of this room is orange : original and luminous, it creates an immediate effect of cheerfulness. Capri, Jacky bar (the other picture)

       À l'époque (ouf! ce n'est plus le cas aujourd'hui), j'avais décidé que je ne publierais qu'une seule photo par post et que je ne dérogerais pas de cette "ligne éditoriale". Cela avait évidemment engendré des questionnements récurrents et interminables sur le choix de tel ou tel plan pour montrer une seule pièce en une seule image (et en général je faisais plusieurs centaines de clichés par pièce...). Rescapée des abîmes d'un choix draconien, voici donc "l'autre photo" du Jacky bar, celle que j'avais mise à regret de coté.  (Vous pouvez voir tous les posts concernant ce lieu sur une seule page en cliquant ici). 

       In the past (that's not the case now) I had decided that I would not publish more than one picture each post to show a room. Guess how hard sometimes it was to chose... Villa Fersen again. J'aime bien l'aspect naturellement vieilli de ce couloir. Aux heures les plus chaudes de l'été, il n'en est que plus rafraichissant. 

Villa Fersen once again. I like the naturally aged aspect of this corridor. In summer, it makes it even more cool and refreshing.
